Process Improvement (Competency) Technician

As Process Improvement (Competency) Technician your main job will be to optimize and maintain the Service Lab by working closely together with your peers to ensure a smooth introduction of new processes and equipment for the high-tech machinery.

In short:

• Responsible for maintaining the technical process quality and availability and supervises correct operations execution. Corrects technical issues and/or supports engineering in solving issues. Proposes and contributes to improvements and introduction of processes;
• Works closely together with colleagues and the different interfacing departments Development, Customer Support & Production Engineering to ensure smooth introductions by executing design requirements on manufacturability and serviceability;
• Creates & maintains work instructions according to standards applicable;
• Creates and gives knowledge transfers to operators;
• Troubleshooting (1st Line support);
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as cycle time reduction, defect reduction, cost reductions and general continuous improvement all within the scope and related to optimization of Service Lab Operations.

Education

MBO / HBO / BSc. In a technical degree (e.g. Physics (Natuurkunde) / Mechanics (Werktuigbouwkunde) / Chemical (Scheikunde) / Optics) 

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the development of applications and/or manufacturing processes in a high-tech, environment;
• Experience in the field of technical production engineering;
• Experience with quality methodologies such as SPC (Statistical Process Control) and FMEA.

 Personal skills

We expect you to be a good communicator, team player, self-starter, to take initiative and to be result oriented. You have a good command of the English language, both in writing and in speech. Having knowledge of the Dutch language is a pre.
