Senior C++ Software Design Engineer

Are you an experienced C++ Software Design Engineer? Did you work in a machine control environment? Then we have the perfect position for you! Because our client ASML is looking for a C++ Software Design Engineer.

The job advertised is for a Senior Software Design Engineer in ASML’s data-driven development group in the Machine Control department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and building software solutions that are critical for the lithographic machines to operate at high productivity while maintaining nanometer accuracy.

The candidate will be involved in all stages of the software development process, including specification, design, qualification, and integration of the software for use in ASML’s world-leading products.

The job requires the candidate to have a passion for technology, be analytical, product, and quality-oriented, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to work in a highly complex and procedural environment.

The successful candidate should be able to guide and coach junior design engineers and communicate effectively with senior engineers and architects.

• A Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field;
• 8+ years of experience in a high-tech environment;
• Demonstrable expertise in C, C++, object-oriented programming;
• Unix/Linux;
• Solaris;
• Python;
• Software configuration management (e.g., ClearCase, GIT);
• Experience working in a SAFe or Agile team environment and applying lean practices is also necessary.
