Introductie
The role of “Customer orientated Sr Developer“ is full of opportunities. Within the Chief Data Office (CDO) the business users of reliable information are our customers. To guide their search towards information, it must be transparent where to find trusted data, and which levels of quality they can expect. Therefore we are developing cross collaboration platforms. Through those platforms we are offering data savvy people a front-end solution (one single source of truth) to get a grip on data quality, find information in a marketplace, and improve their data maturity as a whole.
Functieomschrijving
As the Customer orientated Sr Developer your mission is to build front end solutions for our data community. You will focus on three of these front end-services.
The first platform is the Information Marketplace in which data users across the organization are able to publish and find information(models). The marketplace should offer transparency to the information that is available, who owns the information, and whom to contact if you would like to use this information for analytical purposes, instead of building the model yourself once more E.g.:
Organizing and managing information models, performance reports, analytical reports, and offering in a structure which is accessible to colleagues
A user friendly way of browsing through this library supporting cross ASML collaboration to share information on the data-products created (check-in-check-out principles)
The second platform in the Data Quality Monitor. This solution offers our data owners to get a grip on the quality within their area of accountability. Data quality monitoring & analyses makes data quality issues tangible. It will help you to conduct root cause analyses on why processes are underperforming, and connects this data to drive sustainable improvements e.g.
What data elements disturb my process because of not meeting data quality rules that I have set?
Identify data quality deterioration per area, and connect directly to the owner to take swift action
Immediately jump to record not meeting the quality standard to provide follow up
The third platform is the Data Governance Maturity Dashboard, supporting the implementation of the ASML data management framework throughout the organization. Steering on growth in data maturity and to have effective, reactive and preventive controls e.g.:
How many data elements have you identified?
How is the accountability on your data, do you have data ownership signed off?
Is your organization trained e.g. foundational Data management CBT’s saturation?
Do you have business and data rules which can be transformed to preventive controls?
Wat verwachten we van jou?
Bachelor degree in IT general, Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent
Experience
It is key to have the following experiences:
5+ years relevant experience
Knowledge, and building competences on front-end tools:
TIBCO Spotfire
SAP analytics cloud are a preferred
Knowledge, and building competences on back-end tooling and programming languages:
HANA
Python
Relevant other languages are a preferred
Personal skills
Who are you?
Acting in this role gives you the ability to build front end solutions for our data community. This role has two main pillars.
The technical side of the role. You need to be able to build technology to deliver an exemplary user experience. Profound knowledge of Spotfire and HANA is key, as are skills in Python and or other languages. We are looking for somebody who drives her- himself to build and deliver solutions. You will have an intrinsic drive to take on challenges and find solution.
The customer / business side: We are looking for a person with a solid mix of front-end visualization skills and business skills. You must be able to understand the interdependency of the technical architecture of various platforms which will need to connect to deliver the total picture to the end user. Last of all you need to be confident in the communication to our customers, and be able to closely cooperate with them and translate their needs to practical solutions.
