Senior Process Engineer

• Define process requirements and optimize coatings for high-tech equipment.
• Develop and deliver coating solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Work with teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Lead the commissioning and acceptance of systems at client locations.
• Stay involved in new technology and process development, collaborating with various project teams to ensure success.
• Regular international travel to customer sites to implement and support coating systems.

• A Master's (MSc) or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of industrial experience in the development, characterization, and application of hard coatings like oxides, nitrides, or carbides.
• Strong expertise in plasma physics and diagnostic techniques.
• Problem-solving skills, especially in equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience in working with PVD coatings, sputtering (HIPIMS/DMS), Arc technology, or coatings for tribological applications.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch, German, or Chinese is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
